Georgene Ruth Scott, beloved Mother and Grandmother has passed away today, September 16th, 2003. She will be dearly missed by her many children, grandchildren and relatives. Grandma recently turned 72 years old and shared her day with me and Rob at our wedding shower. I bought her Lana Turner scarves...she always was a movie star to me. Family always came first for grandma, and she raised them well; I am a product of that and am forever grateful. Grandma was a fiery woman with a sense of humor all her own. She didn't take scuff from anyone and was quick to tell you if you were on her bad side. Lord help the nurses when they tried to draw her blood. On the other hand, she would give you the shirt off her back and the food off her plate. Nothing made her happier than to give to others in need or to spend time with her family. Except maybe her cigarettes, Pepsi and chocolate. My fondest recent memory of her is her dancing at my cousin's wedding. She was going to dance the limbo and nothing was going to stop her, even her wheelchair. Grandma never quit. She just got tired. I believe whole heartedly that she is in heaven with Grandpa right now, that they will be at our wedding, and they will be in Arizona looking over the Grand Canyon when we get there. I do not cry because she is gone, but because she was so loved and one can never have enough years with a woman like my grandmother. Grandma, you are my sunshine, and you always will be. I love you. Kiss grandpa for me.
